Job summary

Thales in Ottawa, Canada seeks an IVVQ Sub-Discipline Manager to lead the IVVQ engineering team and drive best practices across bids and projects. You will manage resources, mentor engineers, and ensure milestones are met within a multidisciplinary environment.

Responsibilities include shaping processes, supporting recruitment, and delivering IVVQ work while promoting collaboration and technical excellence. Travel may be occasional in a dynamic defence and aerospace context.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree or equivalent technical diploma with IVVQ exposure.
• At least 6 years of IVVQ experience in the last 10 years.
• At least 2 years leading an IVVQ team, project, or product.
• Experience with at least one IVVQ tool and one IVVQ standard.
• Strong English written and verbal communication; collaborative mindset.

Responsibilities

• Provide resources to deliver bids, projects, and products.
• Plan team workload over short, medium and long term.
• Develop team skills; support recruitment, onboarding and performance management.
• Coach, mentor and develop the team to meet productivity and quality targets.
• Standardize processes, procedures and tooling; drive continuous improvement.
• Support bid, project and product estimates for the discipline and sub-disciplines.
• Perform IVVQ work across bids, projects and products; analyze systems holistically.
