Job summary

Thales Canada in Ottawa is seeking a Director, Program Delivery to lead a portfolio of complex programs in a hybrid work setting. The role focuses on profitable execution, customer satisfaction, and coaching project managers to manage risks and schedule performance.

You will collaborate with Services, Engineering, Supply Chain and Procurement, report to the VP Delivery, and drive governance, budgets, and BOR reporting while maintaining strong executive relationships.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Management, or related field.
• 10+ years’ experience in program/project management, preferably in defence industry.
• Proven track record of managing large and complex programs.
• Mastery level skills in EVM and Risk Management.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Proficiency with program management tools and methodologies (PMP or similar certification preferred).

Responsibilities

• Oversee the execution of a portfolio of programs, ensuring alignment with objectives and client expectations.
• Lead and coach project and program managers, establishing delivery priorities and governance.
• Coordinate across functional teams (engineering, finance, operations, supply chain, services, procurement).
• Monitor progress, identify risks and issues, and drive timely resolutions to maintain schedules and budgets.
• Prepare and present status reports, forecasts, and recommendations to senior leadership.
