Énergie NB Power is seeking an IT Vendor Manager to lead all Digital Technology vendor relationships, contract management, performance tracking, and risk oversight. This leadership role reports to the Senior Manager for IT Enablement.
You will develop vendor policies, oversee onboarding, performance reporting, and governance to ensure compliant, cost-effective IT services aligned with organizational priorities and technology strategy.

As part of the Digital Technology team, the IT Vendor Manager is responsible for all Digital Technology vendors for NB Power Corporation. They will be the primary resource responsible for a combination of IT vendor contracts, performance, relationships, and risk management. They will own and understand contractual, commercial, and operational working relationships with vendors to ensure effective delivery of committed products, services, and solutions. This role is a leadership position, reporting directly to the Senior Manager for IT Enablement
Provide leadership by setting the strategic direction, mission, and vision of the vendor management capability in alignment with the strategic and operational objectives of the technology organization and the broader enterprise. You’ll also be responsible for recruitment of new employees, performance management, developing and training resources, and build relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Develop and approve policies, standards, and processes for vendors. Enhance and maintain tools used in vendor management, including contract repositories and performance reporting systems. Serve as a single point of contact between vendors and internal customers and manage reporting data on vendor contracts, performance, and risk. Ensure effective coordination between vendors and internal teams for delivery of services. Support vendor lifecycle management activities including onboarding, performance monitoring, and resolving issues.
Maintain and oversee vendor agreements, work with procurement, legal, finance and stakeholders on contract negotiations, execution, and governance to ensure they are current and compliant with laws, regulations, and corporate policies. Create and maintain a repository of vendors in a database including maintaining an inventory of vendor spending working with finance and procurement.
Lead the strategic management, performance, and governance of vendor relationships to ensure the delivery of reliable, cost-effective, and compliant IT services that align with organizational priorities. This includes overseeing performance, risk, service quality, financial management, and contractual obligations; supporting IT demand intake, portfolio planning, and sourcing activities; driving continuous service improvement and cost optimization; and collaborating with internal stakeholders to ensure vendor capabilities, service outcomes, and governance practices effectively support business objectives, operational excellence, and long-term technology strategy.
An equivalent combination of training and experience may be considered. Subject to competition response, the minimum qualifications may be modified.
