Job summary

BC Ferries is seeking a Project Manager, IT to lead enterprise IT initiatives across Victoria or Vancouver Lower Mainland. You will drive projects from planning through implementation and post-project review, balancing scope, schedule, budget, and quality to deliver measurable business value.

In this role you’ll partner with executives, vendors and stakeholders to define objectives, manage risks, and ensure user adoption. Strong communication and financial acumen are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or associate degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, or related field.
• Project Management certification (SAFe and/or Scrum Master preferred).
• 5+ years of PM experience leading complex IT projects; capital budgets $1M+.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Ability to manage budgets, risks, and cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead IT projects delivering within scope, schedule, budget, and quality.
• Define objectives, deliverables, and success measures with stakeholders.
• Manage budgets, risks, dependencies, and change requests.
• Facilitate workshops, steering committees, and stakeholder meetings.
• Partner with Supply Chain and vendors on procurement activities (RFIs, RFPs, evaluations, contract negotiations).
• Apply PMO standards and PMI best practices.
• Conduct post-implementation reviews and contribute to continuous improvement.
