Job description

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for an IT Systems Support Officer based in Canada.

This is a fully remote opportunity for an IT professional who enjoys solving problems while also improving the systems behind them.
You’ll support users across Microsoft 365 and business applications while managing access, technology assets, and system records.
The role combines hands-on troubleshooting with systems administration, cybersecurity support, and digital process improvement.
Beyond resolving day-to-day technical issues, you’ll identify recurring problems and recommend smarter, more efficient solutions.
You’ll collaborate with internal users and external IT providers while contributing to system implementations, updates, and workflow improvements.
The environment is international, collaborative, and people-focused, with opportunities to support an Australian business remotely.
This role is ideal for a proactive IT professional who values ownership, continuous learning, and practical impact.

Accountabilities
  • Provide day-to-day technical support to users across Microsoft 365 and core business systems.
  • Troubleshoot hardware, software, login, connectivity, permissions, and user-access issues, resolving them efficiently or escalating when specialist support is required.
  • Manage user accounts, permissions, system access, and related access-control processes.
  • Coordinate complex technical issues with external IT providers and follow through to resolution.
  • Maintain accurate IT asset registers, software licensing information, system records, and other technical documentation.
  • Document IT requests, system changes, troubleshooting activities, resolutions, and outstanding issues.
  • Assist with new system implementations, software updates, workflow changes, and digital form deployments.
  • Test system changes and workflows to identify issues before they affect users or business operations.
  • Identify recurring technical problems and opportunities to improve systems, processes, and digital workflows.
  • Maintain and update IT documentation, knowledge resources, and user guides.
  • Support cybersecurity, data privacy, and access-control procedures across the organization.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that make technology and business processes more efficient and user-friendly.
Requirements
  • Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in IT support, systems support, or a closely related role.
  • Practical experience supporting Microsoft 365 and cloud-based platforms.
  • Hands-on experience troubleshooting hardware, software, user-access, permissions, and connectivity issues.
  • Experience managing user accounts, permissions, and system access.
  • Knowledge of basic networking and connectivity concepts.
  • Experience maintaining IT records, documentation, asset information, and system records.
  • Understanding of fundamental cybersecurity and data privacy principles.
  • Ability to investigate technical problems independently, identify appropriate solutions, and elevate issues effectively when specialist support is required.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain technical issues clearly to non-technical users.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while collaborating effectively with colleagues and external providers.
  • Reliable internet connection and a suitable environment for full-time remote work.
  • Experience supporting construction, engineering, infrastructure, multi-site, or other project-based organizations is an advantage.
  • Experience coordinating technical issues with external IT providers is preferred.
  • Experience testing systems, software updates, workflows, or digital forms is a plus.
  • A proactive, curious mindset with an interest in identifying opportunities for technology and process improvement.
Benefits
  • Permanent work-from-home setup.
  • Full-time, Monday-to-Friday schedule.
  • Day shift aligned with AEST working hours.
  • Company-provided equipment.
  • Secondary Wi-Fi modem.
  • 21 annual leave credits, with leave benefits beginning on Day 1.
  • 100% conversion of unused leave credits.
  • HMO coverage from Day 1.
  • 13th-month pay.
  • Monthly gift vouchers.
  • Milestone tokens for birthdays, anniversaries, and Christmas.
  • Employee engagement activities, including team-building events, Christmas celebrations, town halls, and virtual events with prizes.
  • Opportunities to gain international experience supporting an Australian business.
  • Ongoing learning and professional development opportunities.
  • Exposure to Microsoft 365, business systems, cybersecurity, digital workflows, and technology improvement initiatives.
  • Supportive, collaborative, people-first remote working environment.
