Job summary

Family Connexions is seeking a full-time Information Systems Specialist for a 6- to 12-month temporary contract based in Barrie. The role focuses on imaging, data backups, and deployment of agency cell phones and laptops, with secure data cleaning and IT support for staff.

Travel to branches is possible; in-office presence is expected. Requirements include a college degree in CS/IT or equivalent, with strong knowledge of Hyper-V, Veeam, Windows OS, SQL, SCCM, Azure and Office 365.

Qualifications

• Minimum College Degree in Computer Science and Information Technology or equivalent combination of education and related field experience.
• A thorough knowledge of a full range of information systems, software, hardware, and networks including Hyper-V, Veeam, Windows Server OS, Windows Desktop OS, SQL, SCCM, Azure and Office 365.
• Ability to keep knowledge current for all information systems, network, software and hardware technologies.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with a strong ability to analyze and remedy information systems, computer, network, software and hardware difficulties.
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills including the ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively.
• Effective listening, verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong time management skills & ability to work under pressure to tight timelines and emergent issues.
• Bilingualism (French/English) is an asset.
• A valid driver’s license and use of a vehicle are required.

Responsibilities

• Imaging, backing up data and deployment of agency cell phones and laptops.
• Secure data cleaning and provide information systems technical assistance to staff.
• Work from Barrie Head Office and travel to branch offices as needed.
