Job summary

United States Digital Space LLC is seeking an IT Systems Engineer to drive the integration of acquired companies into the IT environment. You will migrate collaboration tools, SaaS platforms, and identity systems with minimal disruption and a focus on automation.

The ideal candidate will lead architectural, engineering, and operational IT efforts, support SSO via Okta, and build integrations using APIs and automation tools. Collaborative, proactive, and mentorship skills are essential.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years' experience managing corporate IT systems.
  • Experience with mergers, acquisitions, or divestitures including SaaS consolidation.
  • SaaS platforms such as Gsuite, Okta, Atlassian, Slack integration experience.

Responsibilities

  • Lead SaaS integration and platform migrations during merger activity.
  • Provide architectural, engineering, and operational IT support.
  • Support SSO integrations with Okta and identity providers.
  • Write automation scripts and runbooks for IT operations.

Job description

the company is looking for an IT Systems Engineer to lead the technical side of integrating newly acquired companies into the company's IT environment. You'll be responsible for migrating collaboration tools, SaaS platforms, and identity systems from acquired teams into the company's stack, with minimal disruption to either side. We're looking for a self-starter who's equally comfortable driving projects independently and partnering with others to get things done. The ideal candidate brings strong attention to detail, creative problem-solving, and a genuine drive to automate processes and improve efficiency across the IT organization.

Responsibilities:
  • Manage SaaS integration and consolidation during merger and acquisition activity, ensuring smooth platform migrations, data integrity, and minimal disruption across merged organizations
  • Provide architectural, engineering, and operational support for corporate IT systems at the company
  • Support single sign on integrations with the company’s primary identity provider, Okta.
  • Leverage various APIs to write scripts and applications to automate IT Operations
  • Support and work with IT, Security and other internal departments by building automation for repetitive tasks
  • Write detailed and concise documentation and runbooks
  • Engage with vendors to implement and improve services to best support the company’s needs
  • Be a mentor to others in IT and act as a source for others

Experience & Skills:

  • 5+ years of experience managing corporate IT Systems
  • Proven experience supporting IT integration during mergers, acquisitions, or divestitures, including SaaS platform consolidation and system migrations
  • SaaS system application management including but not limited to: Gsuite, Okta, Atlassian, Slack
  • Scripting experience leveraging GAM, Python, Bash, and/or equivalent tools
  • Comfortable consuming REST APIs
  • Experience administering Okta via Terraform
  • Experience with GitOps
  • Familiarity with open ID connect, SAML, and Oauth is required.
  • Experience building integrations across various systems leveraging APIs with both low code/no code solutions using platforms like Okta workflows and Workato
  • Experience writing and documenting detailed project proposals
  • Experience working with vendors to solve issues, project roadmaps, and implement improvements
  • Ability to adapt and solve problems in a fast moving environment
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, ability to collaborate and work with others

  • Experience working with Workday and/or other ERP systems
  • Experience with MDMs, jamf, NinjaOne, Omnissa

The expected base pay range for this position in the Toronto area is CAD $122,000 - CAD $152,500, not inclusive of potential equity offering, bonus or benefits. Salary ranges are dependent on a variety of factors, including qualifications, experience and geographic location.
