Job summary

Cardinal Meat Specialists Limited in Brampton is seeking an IT professional to provide first-level support for PC hardware, software and applications, ensuring timely incident resolution and adherence to SLA.

You will manage the ticketing system, support production IT assets including label printers, scales, handheld scanners, and device peripherals, and assist with ERP and time/attendance systems.

Qualifications

• Experience with SaaS, IaaS and cloud environments.
• Proficiency with Microsoft OS (Windows 10/11), Office 365, SharePoint, Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
• Ability to diagnose problems and repair IT assets.
• Flexible, independent and motivated; team player under pressure.
• Knowledge of workstation and application setup and installation.

Responsibilities

• First-level contact and problem resolution for all users with PC hardware, software and applications.
• Use the ticketing system to record, track, and follow-up on incidents to meet SLA targets.
• Support production IT assets including label printers, integrated scales, scanners, plant floor computers, tablets and mobile devices.
• Assist in administration of system applications – time/attendance, ERP system and related duties.
• Ensure timely IT problem resolution and perform upgrades/deployments as required.
• ERP system account setup and access administration projects and duties as assigned.
• Attend coverage for planned/unplanned absences as needed.
• Align with company philosophy and seek continuous improvement in policies.

Job description

Responsible for the continuous support of IT infrastructure

Salary range: $58,000-60,000

Specific Accountabilities:

• First-level contact and problem resolution for all users with PC hardware, software and applications
• Effective use of the ticketing system to record, track, and follow-up on open incidents and ensure resolution is within the SLA’s
• Support for production computer and device peripherals (label printers, integrated scales, wireless handheld scanners, plant floor computers, tablets, mobile phones)
• Support and administration of system applications – time and attendance, company ERP system, and other duties as assigned
• Supporting accurate and timely IT problem resolution
• Perform timely hardware and software upgrades and /or deployment as required
• ERP system account setup and access administration projects and duties as assigned
• Coverage for planned and unplanned absences which could compromise our policies, procedures and programs
• Acts within Company philosophy
• Seek continuous improvement in company policies and procedures

Ideal Qualifications:

• Knowledge in Software as a service, Infrastructure as a service, Cloud-computing, and Citrix delivered applications and environments
• Knowledge of Microsoft Operating systems (10, 11), Office 365, Sharepoint, Excel, Word, PowerPoint
• Ability to diagnose problems, perform repairs on IT assets
