Job summary

Altis Technology in Brampton, Ontario is seeking an IT Support professional to join a collaborative corporate technology team. You will provide hands-on support across hardware, software, and remote connectivity, helping employees stay productive.

You will troubleshoot issues, support technology rollouts, and balance independent problem-solving with escalation when needed. The role offers on-site work with occasional travel to Bolton and a 37.5-hour week.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years in deskside, service desk or call centre technical support.
  • College-level education in CS or related field.
  • Strong knowledge of Windows OS, macOS, productivity applications, PCs, printers and peripheral devices.
  • Ability to occasionally move, lift or push objects weighing up to 40 lbs.
  • Excellent organization and prioritization skills, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.

Responsibilities

  • Install, configure and support PCs, Macs, printers, peripherals and software applications.
  • Diagnose and resolve hardware, software and remote connectivity issues, ensuring requests are completed accurately and on time.
  • Communicate issue status clearly to users and management, escalating or routing requests when needed.
  • Create and update technical and training documentation and provide new employees with guidance on systems, network access, email and IT policies.
  • Provide mobile user support and participate in on‑call support outside regular business hours.
  • Travel to other sites as required, approximately 10% annually.

  • Excellent organization and prioritization skills, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and confidence supporting users at all levels.
  • Ability to occasionally move, lift or push objects weighing up to 40 lbs.
