Job summary

Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge in Alberta, Canada, invites applications for an IT Specialist to lead day-to-day technology services in a premier dining and hospitality setting.

You will report to the IT Manager, provide timely support to colleagues, manage devices, assets, and security, and ensure alignment with Accor IT standards while delivering exceptional service in a luxury mountain resort.

Qualifications

• University or college degree, diploma, or technical certification in IT/IS or related field.
• 1–2 years of hands‑on IT support, help desk, and/or infrastructure.
• Foundational IT Support certifications such as CompTIA A+, Google IT Support Certificate, or Microsoft Fundamentals (Preferred).
• Experience or understanding of hotel or hospitality operations is an advantage.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide timely, professional IT support to property colleagues and end-users.
• Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues at desktop and device level.
• Install, configure, and maintain computers, printers, mobile devices, and peripherals.
• Deploy and set up new equipment including imaging and driver installation.
• Maintain records of IT assets, inventory, and software licensing.
• Log and follow up on support tickets to ensure timely resolution and positive user experience.
• Assist onboarding/offboarding by preparing and recovering IT equipment and system access.
• Monitor antivirus, backups, and basic network connectivity; escalate alerts as needed.
• Execute IT tasks and projects as directed by the IT Manager.
• Uphold Accor IT standards, data security, compliance, and safety policies.

As an IT Specialist, you will provide vision and leadership that fosters an engaged team and ensures quality, efficiency and superior service. This position will be responsible for the effective and efficient day to day operation of a fast paced premier dining establishment.

What you will be doing:

Reporting to The IT Manager, supports the delivery of technology services by ensuring the smooth operation and stability of property-based IT systems. Working closely with the IT Regional Team and the broader Technology Services Team, the IT Specialist plays a key role in supporting day-to-day IT support, service requests, and ensuring alignment with company IT standards.

• Provides timely, professional, and friendly technical support to all property colleagues and end-users.
• Troubleshoots and resolves hardware, software, and network connectivity issues at the desktop and device level.

Your experience and skills include:

• University or college degree, diploma, or technical certification in IT/IS or a related field.
• 1–2 years of hands‑on experience in IT support, help desk, and/or infrastructure.
• Foundational IT Support certifications such as CompTIA A+, Google IT Support Certificate, or Microsoft Fundamentals (Preferred).
• Experience or understanding of hotel or hospitality operations is an advantage.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and customer service abilities.
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, and proactive.
• Ability to work independently with a strong sense of accountability.
• Eagerness to learn, grow, and take on new challenges in a dynamic hospitality‑technology environment.
