Job summary

SGEU is seeking an IT professional who can manage and support Microsoft technologies in a business environment. You will explain complex issues to diverse audiences, collaborate across the organization, and help ensure security and reliability of IT systems.

The role requires a degree or diploma in Computer Science and at least 2 years’ experience, with strong communication, resourcefulness, and a willingness to roll up your sleeves. This is a full-time office position in Regina, SK.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Computer Science with at least 2 years of experience
• Technical experience in an enterprise Microsoft-centric environment
• Proven ability to communicate complex technology issues clearly

Responsibilities

• Install multiple complex technical installations and support expansion of technology for SGEU
• Provide day-to-day IT support across SGEU
• Collaborate with executives, staff, elected officials and members on IT requirements
• Participate in change management policies and project life cycle
• Monitor IT systems, applications and SLAs while maintaining user experience
• Apply ITIL practices to deliver high-quality IT program delivery
• Serve as a liaison between non-technical users and IT
• Knowledge of IT security, networking and disaster recovery processes
