Job summary

Norfolk County is seeking a Manager, I.T. Security to lead protection and resiliency of the County's technology systems.

The role oversees cybersecurity, disaster recovery, incident response, and security projects, guiding IT security staff and managing risks. The position involves senior-level responsibilities with on-site work primarily, potential flexible arrangements, and requires a minimum three-year post-secondary CS/tech education, plus extensive experience in security and project

Qualifications

Minimum three (3) year post secondary education diploma or degree in computer science or technology studies, or equivalent.
Over five (5) years of experience in the scope of this position or related fields.
Two (2) years of experience in project management and/or supervising staff.

Responsibilities

Maintain IT security standards and oversee protection of private data; investigate security breaches.
Manage offsite SIEM contracted services and vendor relations.
Lead security assessments, audits, and external penetration testing.
Oversee backup information retention for all corporate systems.
Direct IT security projects, managing costs, quality, time and risk.
Provide regular reporting on vulnerabilities to the IT Director.
