Job summary

Morson Group in Pickering, Ontario, is seeking an IT Security Senior Project Manager to lead enterprise cybersecurity initiatives. You will plan, coordinate, and deliver complex projects across business, technology, risk, compliance, procurement, and vendors.

You will work with sponsors, cybersecurity leaders, and subject matter experts to ensure alignment with scope, schedule, budget, and governance. PMP and 10+ years of experience in large IT programs in regulated environments are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, Business Administration, Cybersecurity, or related discipline.
• PMI PMP certification or equivalent project management credential.
• 10+ years of experience leading complex IT and technology initiatives.
• Experience managing IT and cybersecurity projects in large enterprise environments.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication with senior leadership.
• Experience with governance, risk, budgeting, and reporting.
• Experience coordinating external vendors and cross-functional delivery teams.

Job Overview

The Cybersecurity Product team is seeking an experienced IT Security Sr. Project Manager to support the delivery of strategic cybersecurity initiatives across the enterprise. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and delivering complex cybersecurity initiatives involving multiple stakeholders across business, technology, risk, compliance, procurement, and external vendor teams. The Project Manager will work closely with program sponsors, cybersecurity leaders, business representatives, and technical subject matter experts to ensure projects are delivered in accordance with approved scope, schedule, budget, and governance requirements.

Key responsibilities include:

• Leading project planning, execution, monitoring, and reporting activities.
• Developing and maintaining project schedules, risk registers, issue logs, and status reports.
• Coordinating cross-functional teams and facilitating project meetings, workshops, and governance forums.
• Managing project risks, issues, dependencies, and change requests.

MUST HAVE

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, Business Administration, Cybersecurity, or a related discipline
• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from the Project Management Institute (PMI), or equivalent project management credential
• Minimum 10 years of experience leading complex IT and technology initiatives, including large-scale enterprise project
• Proven experience managing complex IT and cybersecurity projects in large enterprise environments.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, including experience working with senior leadership.
• Experience with project governance, risk management, budgeting, and reporting.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple concurrent initiatives and competing priorities.
• Experience working with external vendors and cross-functional delivery teamsPreferred Experience
• Experience delivering cybersecurity initiatives such as Third-Party Risk Management (TPRM), Identity and
• Access Management (IAM), Security Compliance, Data Protection, Cloud Security, Cyber Resilience, or related programs
• Knowledge of cybersecurity governance, risk, and compliance practices.
• PMP certification or equivalent project management credentials.
• Experience working in highly regulated industries is considered an asset
