Job summary

Comox Valley Regional District seeks a Senior Manager of Information Technology to lead IT, cybersecurity, digital services, telecommunications, GIS, and data governance, developing and implementing the district’s technology vision in alignment with priorities, obligations, and service goals.

The role reports to the General Manager of Corporate Services and directs enterprise architecture, modernization, and secure, reliable systems while building strong relationships with departments,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with specialty in computer science, GIS.

Responsibilities

• Leads enterprise information systems, digital services, and GIS strategy aligned with corporate priorities.
• Oversees cybersecurity, data governance, and service continuity.
• Manages a multidisciplinary technology team and vendor relationships.
• Oversees budgets, staffing, contracts, and project delivery from business case to implementation.
• Supports Emergency Operations Centre (EOC) if required.
