Job summary

Synechron in Toronto is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead a strategic Mythos / Application Security initiative, coordinating delivery across Cybersecurity, AppSec, Engineering and Technology teams. You will govern timelines, risks, and stakeholder updates for AI-driven vulnerability discovery and remediation programs.

The role requires 8+ years in PM, strong Agile and hybrid delivery, and excellent communication with senior tech and security leaders.

Qualifications

  • 8+ years of Project/Program Management experience in Financial Services or Capital Markets.
  • Experience managing technology, cybersecurity, AppSec, DevSecOps, or engineering transformation initiatives.
  • Strong ability to work with senior technology and security stakeholders.
  • Proven track record of managing complex, cross-functional technical programs with dependencies.
  • Strong understanding of Agile / Scrum and hybrid delivery models.
  • Excellent communication, organization, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience with delivery tools: JIRA, Confluence, MS Project or similar.

Responsibilities

  • Translate technical requirements and security priorities into actionable plans.
  • Support vulnerability detection, remediation automation, sandbox validation, testing and deployment workflows.
  • Maintain alignment between RBC stakeholders and Synechron teams.

We are looking for an experienced Project Manager to support a strategic Mythos / Application Security initiative with client's Capital Markets. The role will sit at the intersection of Cybersecurity, Application Security, Engineering, and Technology, coordinating delivery across multiple technical workstreams and senior stakeholders.

The PM will be responsible for bringing structure, governance, and execution discipline to an initiative focused on AI-driven vulnerability discovery, remediation, validation, and security automation.

Additional Information*

The base salary for this position will vary based on geography and other factors. In accordance with law, the base salary for this role if filled within Toronto, ON is CAD $120K - CAD $130K/year & benefits (see below).

The Role
Responsibilities:

  • Help translate technical requirements and security priorities into actionable delivery plans.
  • Support planning around vulnerability detection, remediation automation, sandbox validation, testing, and deployment workflows.
  • Maintain strong alignment between RBC stakeholders and the Synechron engineering/product teams.
Requirements:
  • 8+ years of Project/Program Management experience, preferably within Financial Services or Capital Markets.
  • Experience managing technology, cybersecurity, AppSec, DevSecOps, or engineering transformation initiatives.
  • Strong experience working with senior technology and security stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to manage complex, cross-functional technical programs with multiple dependencies.
  • Strong understanding of Agile / Scrum and hybrid delivery models.
  • Excellent communication, organization, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience with JIRA, Confluence, MS Project, or similar delivery tools.
  • Strong risk, issue, dependency, and executive reporting capabilities.
Preferred skills:
  • Experience within a large investment bank or Capital Markets environment.
  • Exposure to Application Security, Vulnerability Management, SAST/DAST, DevSecOps, penetration testing, or security remediation.
  • Understanding of the software development lifecycle and CI/CD.
  • Experience managing AI/ML or automation-led technology initiatives.
  • Familiarity with cloud, APIs, Git repositories, security tooling, and modern engineering environments.
