Brandt Corporate Services Ltd. has an open position for IT Project Manager in its Regina, SK, location. This position is responsible for planning, executing, and delivering large multi-phase IT projects and programs on time, within budget, and in accordance with specifications by defining the project requirements and scope, acquiring project resources, and supervising the efforts of the project team members.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Conduct cost-benefit analyses, risk analyses, and ROI calculations to determine project feasibility.
- Manage the entire life cycle of Brandt’s project portfolio, ranging from strategic planning initiatives to tactical activities.
- Design and supervise the implementation of all new system installations, expansions, modifications, migrations, etc.
- Establish a project charter for each approved project, defining the project’s goals, objectives, risks, assumptions, staffing levels, roles and responsibilities, milestones, and deliverables.
- Plan all project timelines, milestones, requirements, micro-deliverables, and work breakdown structure using appropriate software tools and/or project management methods.
- Adhere to established methodologies for project management.
- Track all project costs to ensure completion within budget; procure extra budget funding where necessary using the appropriate change request and change order process.
- Closely monitor the efforts and billing of third-party vendors, such as consultants, contractors, and other specialists.
- Conduct project post-mortems to identify areas for improvement; make recommendations based on findings.
- Organize project teams into suitable workgroups and guide the teams throughout their efforts to produce deliverables according to specifications.
- Negotiate with other business units to obtain required skill sets.
- Identify and resolve conflicts within project teams and associated work; create contingency plans to mitigate risk.
- Establish, implement, and follow a formal change management program.
- Conduct stakeholder meetings and forums to solicit feedback, input, and expectations.
- Coordinate with HR to determine optimal training methods/resources and address user non-compliance.
- Establish and deliver mechanisms for tracking project progress and reporting.
- Produce regular reports on the progress of projects; deliver reports during stakeholder meetings.
- Ensure the project meets all internal and external security and privacy requirements, established prior to implementation.
- Coordinate with all IT managers to ensure infrastructure resources have adequate capacity for demands.
- Evaluate the performance of computer systems and networks related to application requirements/usage.
- Participate in all hardware and software evaluations as applicable.
- Stay current on changes in the IT industry and suggest improvements to senior management.
