Job Summary

The IT Project Manager reports to the IT Manager, Digital Workplace & IT Systems and is responsible for planning, executing, and finalizing IT projects according to deadlines and budgets. This includes identifying and coordinating the efforts of team members and third-party contractors or consultants to deliver projects according to plan. They will also define the project’s objectives and oversee the project through the PPMO process.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates the company’s Mission, Vision and Values Statements, policies, and current standard business practices.
• Models expected behaviors within the team, driving a service excellence culture.
• Define project scope, goals, and deliverables that support business goals in collaboration with management and stakeholders.
• Estimate the resources and participants needed to achieve project goals.
• Identify and manage project dependencies and critical path.
• Define project success criteria and disseminate them to involved parties throughout the project life cycle.
• Develop full-scale project plans and associated communications documents.
• Effectively communicate project expectations to team members and stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion.
• Liaise with project stakeholders on an ongoing basis.
• Identify and resolve issues and conflicts within the project team.
• Track project milestones and deliverables.
• Oversee the project through the PPMO and stage gate process.
• Develop and deliver progress reports, proposals, requirements documentation, and presentations.
• Proactively manage changes in project scope, identify potential crises, and devise contingency plans.
• Coach, mentor, motivate, and supervise project team members and contractors, influencing them to take positive action and accountability for their assigned work.
• Build, develop, and grow any business relationships vital to the success of the project.
• Perform other related duties and / or special projects as required in the department.

Qualifications

Education :

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in a related field (IT related field is preferred).
• Relevant certification is an asset (i.e., PMP).

Skills :

• Strong team player with the ability to lead and mentor staff, including remotely, as well as within cross-cultural teams.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with diverse teams (proactive).
• Proficiency in French or Portuguese (Brazilian) is an asset.
• Agile in thought and action with the ability to tackle difficult problems analytically and to make well-reasoned business decisions.
• Demonstrated experience guiding conflict resolution and facilitating employee relations activities.
• Experience in several project management methods : waterfall, agile.
• Familiarity with IT I&O technology, for example : Microsoft 365, Azure, Identity, Cybersecurity.
• Capability of producing high-quality specifications and documentation.

Experience :

• Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience managing IT infrastructure and operations projects.
• Pharmaceutical, food, or cosmetic industry experience is considered an asset.
• Demonstrated track record of providing great customer service.
• Knowledge of Health and Safety legislation and other Employment-related legislation such as the Employment Standards Act is considered an asset.
• Valid Driver’s license and passport (eligible to travel Internationally up to 10% of the time).
• Must be available to work on all shifts.
