Job summary

Aplin is seeking an IT Implementation Manager to lead end-to-end delivery of technology initiatives for the Corporate Services division, reporting to the Director, Architecture & IT Implementation. You will ensure on-time, on-budget delivery to defined quality standards and enable operational readiness.

The role requires 5–8+ years delivering IT solutions, 3–5+ years QA/test leadership, strong SDLC/Agile, and hands-on QA and CI/CD practices. Hybrid work in Calgary, Alberta.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline (or equivalent experience).
• 5–8+ years delivering IT solutions (applications, data, platforms, integrations).
• 3–5+ years in QA / test leadership (test strategy, test management, test automation).
• Strong knowledge of SDLC, Agile and hybrid delivery approaches, and change/release management.
• Hands-on experience with modern QA methods: functional/regression/integration/UAT/performance/security testing, automation, shift-left, and CI/CD quality gates.

Responsibilities

• Lead the end-to-end delivery of technology initiatives, translating business priorities into successful execution and release outcomes.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams, vendors, and delivery partners across design, build, testing, deployment, and operational handoff.
• Own delivery governance including scope, risks/issues, change control, stakeholder communications, and status reporting.
• Lead the QA strategy and execution to ensure testing meets enterprise standards (functional, integration, regression, UAT, performance, security).
• Drive test automation and CI/CD quality practices (shift-left testing, automation, quality gates, continuous improvement).
• Ensure successful releases and operational readiness through release planning, deployment coordination, production readiness, knowledge transfer, operations handoff, and post-implementation reviews.
