About the role

We are hiring an IT Service Desk Support Specialist for a large transportation infrastructure company, located in Ottawa. This role is critical in maintaining and supporting key IT systems that ensure the smooth operation of business-critical platforms. You will work on exciting technologies, managing systems and offering direct user support to keep daily operations seamless and efficient.

Responsibilities
  • Provide hands-on and remote support for workstations, laptops, and mobile devices
  • Install and configure hardware and software in a multi-server Windows environment
  • Manage Active Directory, Exchange (On-Prem and Cloud-Based), and network infrastructure
  • Troubleshoot LAN/WAN issues involving routers, switches, VPN, and firewalls
  • Respond to help desk requests and track resolutions
  • Support business platforms such as telephony, security systems, and digital displays
Requirements
  • Must currently be based within a 50-mile radius around Ottawa, Ontario, Canada
  • Must have the right to work in Canada without current or future employer sponsorship
  • Minimum 3 years of experience providing IT support or system administration in a Windows environment
  • Experience configuring and maintaining Active Directory and Exchange (On-Prem and Cloud)
  • Experience troubleshooting hardware, software, and network connectivity issues
Preferred skills
  • Bilingual (French and English)
  • ITIL certification
