Job summary

Quantum Lifecycle Partners LP in Brampton, ON is seeking an ITAD/Computer Technician to test, configure, troubleshoot, and repair laptops and other electronics. You will manage inventory, perform data sanitization, and ensure compliance with client specs and SOW requirements.

The role involves hands-on hardware work, RAM upgrades, device replacement, and occasional lifting of up to 20 lbs. A diploma/degree in IT/electronics is preferred; strong problem-solving and independence are valued.

Qualifications

• Preference is a computer programming diploma or degree (or something IT/electronic focused).
• Experience with laptops, desktops, and iPads/tablets.
• Attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
• Experience in repairing wireless products from cosmetic changes, screens, batteries, internal components, software, flashing and unlocking.
• Experience performing troubleshooting, diagnostics, repair and testing on various mobile products, including Android, iPhones, and iPads.
• Strong technical background in electronics.
• Flexible, fast learner with the ability to multitask.

Responsibilities

• Perform data sanitization and factory resets
• Serialization (assigning serial numbers, asset tagging) of IT assets
• Test, analyze, diagnose, and repair all existing and incoming laptops, printers, and other electronic devices parts/components to ensure products are fully functional.
• Change RAM (install physical component)
• Change out hardware for the devices (physical component)
• Install new memory upgrades
• Lifting and moving up to 20 lbs. regularly
• Diagnose and troubleshoot product faults, and adjust, replace, or repair
• Evaluate the operation of electronic components using the software provided
