United as a global team, we’re connecting cross-functionally, traversing industries and geographies, moving opportunity into action, advancing global economic growth, and propelling progress. Through a rich exchange of ideas, meaningful collaboration, and a nimble operating model, we're powering some of the nation's most critical systems, fueling capital formation and innovation, bringing increased opportunity to business visionaries, product ingenuity to consumers, and career exploration to our team.

Ready to be part of the action?

We are seeking a highly analytical, proactive, and detail-oriented GTS Finance Coordinator Intern to join our Global Technology Services (GTS) Information Security team. This vital role is responsible for providing critical financial tracking, cleanup, and analysis to the Information Security leadership team, ensuring optimal visibility into our global security and compliance technology spend. The ideal candidate will have strong financial acumen, excellent Excel/Google Sheets skills, and the ability to reconcile complex data sets in a dynamic technology environment.

Key Accountabilities

Work with the GTS Information Security leadership and finance teams to support the following functions:

  • Security Spend & Financial Cleanup: Review historical and current Information Security transaction data to cleanly identify, categorize, and document global security technology and vendor spend.
  • Committed vs. Actuals Analysis: Analyze and reconcile financial variance by tracking committed security contract and licensing values against actual invoices and expenditures, highlighting discrepancies for the leadership team.
  • Spend Globalization: Assist in auditing, mapping, and centralizing global spend patterns specifically relating to Trayport and TSX platforms to ensure cross-regional alignment and compliance.
  • Documentation & Reporting: Prepare, edit, and format financial spreadsheets, cost-tracking dashboards, and summaries for security executive review, ensuring professional presentation and airtight accuracy.
  • AI Exploration: Explore Google Gemini to automate financial data categorization, text extraction from security vendor contracts/invoices, and routine reporting tasks across GTS ISO.
  • Ad-Hoc Support: Perform other related data-entry or administrative financial tasks and contribute to special departmental or compliance projects as assigned.
  • Cost-per-Workstation Analysis: Execute comprehensive financial analysis to determine technology and security cost allocations per person and per workstation.
  • Internship Knowledge Transition: Lift, assume ownership of, and finalize remaining baseline projects and operational tasks transitioned from the outgoing intern cohort.

Note on Scope: As a term initiative, this role is intentionally focused on "in-the-moment" data cleanup, mapping, and foundational analysis. The intern will focus on delivering clean datasets and insights that require zero ongoing maintenance or post-internship management.

Skills & Experience

Must Have(s):

  • Currently enrolled in a 3rd or 4th-year college or university program in Finance, Accounting, Commerce, or a closely related analytical field.
  • Strong proficiency in data analysis with advanced skills in the Google Suite of Products (especially Google Sheets / Excel), including formulas, VLOOKUPs/XLOOKUPs, and pivot tables.
  • Ability to work independently, handle large datasets, and manage multiple tasks effectively without losing accuracy.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain financial data trends clearly to technology stakeholders.
  • Highly resourceful, analytical, and a proactive problem solver who enjoys "detective work" in financial data.
  • Proven ability to manage time, prioritize tasks, and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Nice to Have(s):

  • An interest in or basic understanding of Information Security, IT asset management, or technology vendor licensing models.
  • Prior internship experience in the technology or financial services industry is a significant asset.
Notes:
  • 4 month Co-op Internship: January 11, 2027 to April 30, 2027
  • In order to be considered for the position, you are required to submit your Knockri Assessment
