Canadian Natural Resources Limited is seeking an IS Security Student to support the IS Operations team in Calgary. You will assist with user access, documentation, and security procedures while gaining exposure to industry-leading IT practices.

The role emphasizes strong communication, timely delivery, and the ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. This 4-month term begins May 2027 and offers opportunities to contribute to ongoing security initiatives.

Qualifications

• Must be currently enrolled in 1st, 2nd or 3rd year of a degree/diploma in Information Technology or Computer Science.
• Strong written and verbal communication.
• Ability to produce readable, current, and correct documentation and reports.
• Analytical and problem-solving abilities; prior oil & gas IT exposure is an asset.
• Familiarity with oil and gas applications is an asset.
• Familiarity with ITIL would be an asset.

• Demonstrate strong, polite and professional communication skills for customer service.
• Meet strict deadlines and maintain composure in high-pressure situations.
• Balance conflicting priorities and multi-task effectively.
• Provide users access to Canadian Natural systems per documented procedures and SLAs.

As an IS Security Student, you will impact the IS Operations team at Canadian Natural by supporting all IS departments and the business with their application needs. • Job location: Calgary, AB - Head Office
• Shift schedule: 5 days on, 2 days off, 8 hours/day (Monday - Friday)
• Term length: 4 months
• Term start: May 2027

Key Accountabilities

What You Bring To The Role

• Currently enrolled in your 1st, 2nd or 3rd year of a degree/diploma in Information Technology or Computer Science

• Analytical and problem-solving abilitiesPrevious IT work experience in the oil and gas industry and exposure to Cisco network infrastructure would be an asset
• Familiarity with any oil and gas applications would be an asset
• Familiarity with ITIL would be an asset
