Intact Financial Corporation is offering an Information Systems Analyst internship in Toronto, Ontario. You will join a growing team supporting product ownership, threat modeling, and security governance while gaining hands-on exposure to modern cyber and data practices.

The role emphasizes organizing and prioritizing backlogs, tracking projects from intake to deployment readiness, and collaborating across security and IT functions.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a bachelor's/master's or PhD in Engineering, CS, Information Systems, Business, or related field, enrolled in a recognized co-op program.
• Experience via coursework, projects, or prior work terms in business analysis, project coordination, IT, or cybersecurity is an asset.
• Familiarity with backlog or project-tracking tools (Jira, Azure DevOps) and Agile methodology is an asset.
• Proficiency with Excel; familiarity with SQL, Power BI, Tableau or similar data-analysis tools is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Support the Product Owner in organizing, prioritizing, and maintaining the team's backlog.
• Help track projects from intake through remediation and deployment readiness.
• Participate in working sessions and document key decisions and actions.
• Update threat registers, security requirements, and mitigation trackers.
• Support backlog refinement and Agile ceremonies.
• Identify changes to scope or timelines and assess impact on threat-modeling activities.
• Prepare status updates and reports for stakeholders.
• Maintain team procedures and knowledge-base content.
