Job summary

Intact Financial Corporation is offering a Cybersecurity Analyst internship as part of our Digital, Data and Tech team in Canada. You will be the first point of contact for cybersecurity intake, support risk assessments, and collaborate with Scrum Masters and stakeholders to prioritize and track requests while maintaining baseline security documentation.

The role requires pursuing a bachelor’s degree in cybersecurity or related field; IT experience and solid communication skills are valued.

Qualifications

Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or Computer Science.
Relevant IT work experience is an asset.
Basic knowledge of information security management principles.
Excellent written and verbal communication.
Active student for Jan–Apr 2027 internship.

Responsibilities

Be the first point of contact to handle cybersecurity risk and compliance intake requests.
Support and maintain risk register and third-party risk assessments.
Work with Scrum Master/Product Owner to prioritize requests.
Maintain documentation repositories and SOPs.
Assist in preparing cybersecurity metrics and indicators.
Support security monitoring tools deployment and testing.
Participate in incident response activities as needed.
Stay updated on security news and threat landscape.
Provide advisories to other teams to improve protection.
Perform periodical IT security procedure reviews.
