Job summary

Capital One Canada in Toronto invites you to a 16-week Summer 2027 internship where you’ll join a team of strategy analysts and collaborate with data scientists and product managers to identify practical solutions. Each project guides you through gathering information, testing hypotheses, and delivering recommendations to business stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in undergraduate or postgraduate degree with expected graduation after December 2027.
• Pursuing degree in Commerce, Finance, Marketing, Economics, Business Admin, Engineering, Math, Statistics or related field.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of Python or SQL or similar languages (advantage).
• Strong verbal and written communication.
• Adaptable to dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

• Analyzing trends in fraudulent credit card applications and transactions to improve models.
• Developing a framework for customers to benefit from different card options while weighing costs and risk.
• Building a challenger model to assess spend predictions and value of retiring complex models.
