Job summary

Fortis Mining, Engineering, & Manufacturing is seeking safety‑conscious Ironworkers (Site-Based) to install or dismantle structural steel according to engineered prints and quality standards in Saskatchewan.

Successful candidates will read blueprints, install rigging, and manage hoisting equipment, with duties including assembly and disassembly of steel components. Pre-employment drug test is required.

Qualifications

• Must provide proof of Ironworker Journeyperson Certificate or Apprentice level status; qualified Journeyperson preferred.
• Valid fall protection certification must be held.
• Must be physically fit and able to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Commitment to working safely and following safety protocol.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints.
• Install various types of rigging and other hoisting equipment.
• Disassembly/removal of existing structural steel components.
• Assemble and install new or modified structural steel components.
• Operate hoisting and lifting devices.
• Project assignments may include underground and/or surface work.

Quality work and timely completion of all aspects of work performed is required.
