Job summary

Northern Strands Group of Companies is seeking an Ironworker (Site‑Based) in Saskatchewan to install and dismantle structural steel according to engineered prints for mining and construction projects. Read blueprints, rig and hoist components, and collaborate with the team to maintain quality and safety on demanding sites.

• Must provide proof of Ironworker Journeyperson Certificate or Apprentice level status; Journeyperson preferred.
• Valid fall protection certification.
• Must be physically fit and able to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Commitment to working safely and following safety protocol.
• Strong attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints.
• Install various types of rigging and hoisting equipment.
• Disassembly and/or removal of existing structural steel components.
• Assemble and/or installation of new or modified structural steel components.
• Operator hoisting and lifting devices.
• Project assignment may include underground and/or surface work.

Fortis Mining, Engineering, & Manufacturing is growing, and we're on the lookout for highly motivated, safety-conscious Ironworkers (Site-Based), whose primary responsibilities are installing or dismantling structural steel according to engineered prints and quality standards. Quality work and timely completion of all aspects of work performed is required.
