We are hiring an IoT Solutions Architecture Manager to lead a regionally-focused team of Field engineers in Presales and Professional Services, assisting customers with solution architecture, design, and delivery.
Location: This is a remote role, managing a team in one of three regions: Americas, EMEA, or APAC. You need to be located in one of these regions to oversee your team across different time zones.
The IoT mission is to enable companies to create secure, connected devices. Canonical provides the Ubuntu OS and kernel, with secure update and management mechanisms. Our customers develop mission-critical systems, gateways, and appliances meeting high security and quality standards, aiming to extend this security to consumer electronics and devices.
Our Field Engineers are thought leaders in embedded Linux, with hands-on expertise in Linux strategy and delivery. They are motivated to help customers achieve technical and business goals, demonstrating how Canonical’s open source approach benefits the emerging edge compute field. They also focus on developing their colleagues’ skills and understanding of customer needs for continuous improvement.
This role requires a blend of skills: strong Linux knowledge, proficiency in coding and scripting, experience with low-level Linux boot, BIOS, firmware, embedded software development, and a passion for diverse client engagements. Ideal candidates are business-oriented technologists who are team players and proud of team and company successes.
