We are hiring an IoT Solutions Architecture Manager to lead a regionally-focused team of Field engineers in Presales and Professional Services, assisting customers with solution architecture, design, and delivery.
Location: This is a remote role, managing a team in one of three Geos: Americas, EMEA, or APAC. You must be located in one of these regions to manage the team spanning multiple time zones.
Our IoT mission is to enable companies to create secure, connected device fleets. Canonical provides the Ubuntu OS and kernel, with secure update and management mechanisms. Our customers develop mission-critical control systems, gateways, and appliances that meet high standards of quality and security. We aim to extend this security level to the consumer electronics and device markets.
Our Field Engineers are thought leaders, solving complex problems with hands-on embedded Linux expertise. They are passionate about helping customers achieve technical and business goals and showcasing how Canonical's open source approach benefits emerging edge compute fields. They also focus on developing their colleagues' skills and understanding of customer business needs.
This role requires a unique skill set. Candidates should be proficient in Linux, coding and scripting, and experienced in low-level Linux boot, BIOS, firmware, and embedded software development. They should thrive in a fast-paced, diverse client environment and be motivated by technical and business success.
