Job summary

TRISURA GROUP LTD in Toronto is seeking an Investment Operations and Business Management Associate to support decision-making and execution through timely reporting and analysis. The role sits in Investments and reports to the SVP, Investments.

The candidate should have 0-4 years in middle office functions, a Finance-concentrated degree, and familiarity with Bloomberg and MS Office. Downtown Toronto location with a salary range of $60,000–$100,000 CAD per year.

Qualifications

• 0-4 years of experience in a middle office role supporting portfolio management/trade floor (ie. portfolio analytics, performance attribution, trade settlement, compliance, etc.)
• Bachelor/BBA/BCom or related degree program with Finance concentration.
• Experience with coding languages is an asset.
• Experience with AI/automation is an asset.
• CFA degree or progress towards the designation is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and communicate recurring portfolio analysis/reporting, including exposure, risk management, transactions, performance, etc.
• Manage trading support infrastructure - exposure, compliance, available cash, etc.
• Manage trade settlement.
• Assist in preparation of internal and external presentations.
• Contribute to macro, asset class and security specific commentary.
• Assist investment team in discrete tasks related to asset allocation, security diligence, trading and portfolio construction.

Investment Operations and Business Management - Associate

Team: Investments

Reporting to: SVP, Investments

Description:

Support critical investment-related decision making and execution through timely reporting and thoughtful analysis.

As an integral member of the team, you will bring

• Experience with portfolio operations, portfolio analytics, performance attribution, trade settlement, compliance, risk management, etc.
• Interest in financial markets, asset allocation, portfolio management and trading.
• Demonstrated ability to effectively manage multiple priorities.
• Strong computer skills; including extensive experience with Microsoft Office.
• Familiarity with Bloomberg.
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate cross-functionally across teams/vendors/counterparties.
• Excellent organizational, communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proven ability to work within a team environment.
• Proven ability to organize and complete work within tight deadlines.

Salary

• The expected salary in this position is within the range of $60,000 - $100,000

This salary range reflects the expected base compensation for the role across Canada. Actual compensation will be determined based on factors such as experience, qualifications, and scope of responsibilities. Trisura Group provides this range in good faith in accordance with applicable legislation.
