Agilus is recruiting for an Inventory Planner in the Oil and Gas Sector in Calgary, Alberta.
Reporting to the SCM Manager - Inventory Planning, the Inventory Planner performs exploratory data analysis to cleanse, maintain governance, and optimize settings on MRP inventory master data.
A typical day:
- Effectively manage inventory performance and optimization for wide inventory including critical spare parts to ensure reliable operation of plants and/or completion of major projects, thereby avoiding increased costs and reduction in profitability.
- Govern material master MRP data integrity to ensure compliance with our Material Requirements Planning (MRP) parameter matrix for SAP materials along with Inventory Planning standards, processes, guidelines, and procedures.
- Ensure SOX Audit compliance for DOA approvals to inventory Stock Plan order control changes.
- Perform exploratory data analysis on MRP master data settings, inventory demand, and material consumption patterns to drive optimal inventory levels to balance costs and business risks.
- Perform cost avoidance activities to prevent unnecessary inventory growth, including reviewing daily changes to supply and demand, investigating root causes, and driving corrective actions.
- Provide ongoing development, support, and training of processes to internal clients in inventory management, demand planning, and stocking strategies.
- Provide the business with visibility and understanding of financial risks associated with excess and obsolete inventory.
Successful candidates will have:
- 5-10+ years of Inventory Management or Supply Chain related experience.
- Post-secondary background in Math, Engineering, Business, or equivalent preferred.
- Strong analytical skills with extensive experience using Microsoft Excel to build reports for business use.
- A professional designation in Supply Chain or Operations such as APICS / ASCM - CPIM, CSCP, and/or CLTD.
- Advanced technical competency in SAP S/4; extensive knowledge of SAP Material Management (MM) modules; familiarity with SAP Plant Maintenance (PM) and Enterprise Warehouse Management (EWM) modules and material master MRP settings.
- Advanced understanding of Material Requirements Planning (MRP), Materials Management strategies, and formulas for statistical analysis using material criticality, service levels, and standard deviation for stocking decisions.
- Experience in exploratory data analysis for inventory demand, MRP master data, and material consumption patterns.
- Experience in the Oil and Gas industry or relevant sectors (e.g., chemicals, utilities, resources, engineering) preferred.
- Expertise in Microsoft Excel and MS Office suite; advanced application of Power BI and ServiceNow is preferable.
Total rewards:
