Job summary

Qualifications

  • High school diploma required.
  • 2 to 4 years of work experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • ERP system experience.
  • Forklift experience/license.
  • Good written and verbal communications skills.
  • Comfortable working in ERP systems; experience with Microsoft Office products including Excel and Word.
  • Works well under pressure with ability to problem solve.

Responsibilities

  • Receive components and miscellaneous items to purchase orders.
  • Inspect incoming goods against packing lists and enter data into Tekla ERP system.
  • Unload incoming truck deliveries and check items against packing slip and/or purchase orders.
  • Separate and segregate materials into fit kits for fabrication according to prepared lists.
  • Inform all stakeholders of any received items (Purchasing, Project Managers).
  • Under direct supervision, perform work activities and independently solve routine issues.
  • Ensure MTRs for incoming steel are received and recorded into Tekla at receiving.
  • Coordinate with Procurement to follow up missing documentation and MTRs when required.
  • Identify missing materials pre-fabrication/processing and inform necessary team members to solve before impact to production.
  • Anticipate production needs and ensure no delays from material.
  • Perform annual inventory counts for all steel inventory.

Job description

We are currently looking for an Inventory Control Coordinator who is a dynamic and motivated individual, possesses a strong attention to detail and can work independently based on direction provided by the Shipping & Receiving Supervisor.
Key responsibilities will include:
1. Receive components and miscellaneous items to purchase orders.
2. Inspect incoming goods against packing lists and (Enter the information into Tekla) record applicable data in the corresponding ERP system.
3. Unload incoming truck deliveries and perform physical check on received items to packing slip and/or purchase orders.
4. Separate and segregate materials into fit kits for fabrication according to prepared lists provided by fabrication requirements.
5. To inform all stakeholders of any received items. (Purchasing, Project Managers).
6. Under direct supervision, perform work activities and independently solve routine issues.
7. Ensure MTRs for incoming steel are received and recorded accurately into the Tekla system at the time of receiving.
8. Coordinate with Procurement to follow up Suppliers for missing documentation and MTRs when required.
9. Identify missing materials pre-fabrication/processing and inform necessary team members to solve before impact to production are realized.
10. Anticipate production needs and ensure no delays from material.
11. Perform annual inventory counts for all steel inventory.
The ideal candidate will have:
1. High school diploma required
2. 2 to 4 years of work experience in a manufacturing environment
3. ERP system experience
4. Forklift experience/license
5. Good written and verbal communications skills
6. Comfortable working in ERP systems; experience with Microsoft Office products including Excel and Word
7. Works well under pressure with ability to problem solve
