Job summary

Silent-Aire, a division of Johnson Controls, is seeking an Inventory Analyst to compile and maintain inventory records, count material in stock, and post totals to the ERP system. You will ensure smooth processing of outbound shipments and inbound items, while keeping the inventory system accurate through timely data entries.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year experience in inventory or similar field (3 years preferred).
• Knowledge of workplace safety, safe lifting and handling procedures.
• Able to communicate effectively verbally and in writing; good time management.

Responsibilities

• Execute the Materials process and maintain adequate records for reporting and tracking.
• Collaborate with Operations and Production personnel to ensure inventory is accurate and complete.
• Coordinate the Annual Inventory Count and the Daily Cycle Count.
• Investigate stock discrepancies, provide root cause, and implement corrective actions.
• Identify and report recurring issues that drive inventory discrepancies and implement corrective actions to avoid recurrence.
• Investigate receiving discrepancies with Receiving and Purchasing groups; suggest process improvements.
• Problem solve for missing deliveries, shipments, and documents.
• Identify, record, and process defective (NCR) inventory.
• Review the OE Back Order report weekly; investigate B/Os for closed jobs with Pickers.
• Investigate WIP variances and implement corrective actions as required.
• Collaborate with inventory team to develop reports for Production, Materials and Shipping & Receiving departments.

Overview

The Inventory Analyst compiles and maintains records of quantity, type, and value of material, equipment or supplies stocked. Count material, equipment, merchandise, or supplies in stock and post totals to inventory records, manually or using the ERP (Sage) system. Ensures seamless processing of outgoing shipments and incoming items, as well as making transactional computer entries to keep the inventory system accurate.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Execute the Materials process and maintain adequate records for reporting and tracking.


• Collaborate with Operations and Production personnel to ensure inventory is accurate and complete.


• Coordinate the Annual Inventory Count and the Daily Cycle Count.
