Job summary

Niagara Catholic District School Board invites applications for an International Language Instructor to teach language skills and celebrate cultural diversity within the community. You will report to the Principal of Continuing Education and coordinate with site locations as needed.

The position runs one day per week from October 19, 2026 to May 29, 2027, 2.5 hours weekly, at a pay rate of 34.52 per hour. A satisfactory Police Record Check and Vulnerable Sector Check are required, with

Reporting to the Principal of Continuing Education, the International Language Instructor will have the opportunity to make a positive impact by teaching language skills and celebrating cultural diversity within the community.

WHAT YOU BRING:
  • Must be fluent in one of the above target languages (or additional language not listed)
  • Familiarity with language teaching methodologies
  • Instruction in the target language
  • Experience working with international languages an asset
  • Excellent classroom management skills
  • Experience working with students and knowledge of differentiated instruction
WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT:

PLEASE NOTE:
  • Not all programs/courses are offered at each site. Site(s) may change based on availability and enrollment
  • Contingent upon sufficient program(s)/course(s) enrollment
  • Delivery format may pivot from in-class to virtual (or vice-versa) with short notice, if required.
LOCATION:

Locations are dependent on enrolment numbers. To be confirmed, but classes are tentatively scheduled at one of the following locations below:

  • St. Ann ALC (Niagara Falls - Monday nights and Saturday mornings)
  • St. John ALC (St. Catharines - Friday nights and Saturday mornings)
  • Our Lady of Fatima (Grimsby - Saturday mornings)

34.52 per hour inclusive of vacation pay and statutory holidays as per the C.U.P.E. Collective Agreement
