Job summary

Saskatoon Motor Products, part of the AutoCanada network, is seeking an Internal Technician in Saskatoon, SK. This fast-paced shop offers a steady flow of pre-owned work and opportunities to learn with advanced diagnostics.

Ideal candidates have 3–4 years of automotive experience, a second-year apprenticeship, and own tools. Competitive hourly pay and benefits are included from Day One.

Qualifications

• 3–4 years of automotive technician experience preferred.
• Completed second-year apprenticeship training (minimum).
• Experience with used vehicles, inspections or reconditioning.
• SGI inspection experience/certification is an asset.
• Strong mechanical knowledge and diagnostic abilities.
• Own tools required.
• Basic computer skills.
• Valid Canadian driver’s license and safe driving history.
• Strong work ethic, reliability, proactive attitude.

Responsibilities

• Complete pre-owned vehicle inspections and reconditioning assessments.
• Perform SGI inspections and identify required repairs.
• Complete 180-point inspections and quality checks.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical issues across vehicle systems.
• Perform repairs and maintenance to prepare vehicles for resale.
• Use diagnostic tools to identify vehicle concerns.
• Ensure work meets quality and safety standards.
• Maintain documentation and communicate findings as required.
• Work efficiently with attention to detail and consistency.

Your Area of Focus

As an Internal Technician, you will be responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, repairing, and reconditioning pre‑owned vehicles to ensure they meet dealership quality standards.

You will complete detailed inspections, identify required repairs, and perform mechanical work to prepare vehicles for resale. This role requires strong attention to detail, consistency, and the ability to work efficiently in a high‑volume environment.
