Job summary

Bombardier in Dorval, QC invites a Winter 2027 Intern, Continuous Improvement to contribute to our Operational Excellence initiative. You will work with cross-functional teams on Kaizen events, data collection, and time studies, supporting standardization and KPI-driven improvement.

You are currently enrolled in engineering or related field and can communicate in French and English. This hybrid internship lasts 8 months with travel opportunities; a strong team player and detail-oriented mindset

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a diploma, bachelor’s, or master’s degree program in engineering or related field.
• Fluent in French and English.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Experience with Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
• Experience in data management.
• Team player with positive attitude.
• Detail-oriented and rigorous.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to deployment of the company-wide Operational Excellence initiative, including technical elements, management tools, and practices.
• Participate in Kaizen, Value Stream Mapping, and problem-solving events with Operational Excellence specialists and cross-functional teams.
• Support the BOE team in engaging the organization in a culture of operational excellence to achieve company goals.
• Conduct applicable time studies under the direction of a BOE specialist.
• Collect data and perform statistical analyses to evaluate process performance.
• Analyze current processes to identify improvement opportunities and sources of waste.
• Collaborate in presenting improvement plans, data analyses, and other BOE activities.
• Promote standardization and execution through processes, KPIs, and infrastructure.
• Create or support the design of process flowcharts, Value Stream Maps (VSM), and Standard Operating Procedures
