Job summary

Bombardier Transportation GmbH is seeking an aerospace or mechanical engineering student for an eight-month internship in Dorval, Canada. You will support the engineering and manufacturing teams and gain hands-on experience with weight and balance tasks and CAD tools.

Strong Excel skills, including macros, and familiarity with CATIA or similar CAD software are required. English reading/writing is essential; French/English bilingualism is a plus.

Qualifications

• Aerospace or mechanical engineering student in 3rd year (preferred).
• Strong Excel skills and ability to build macros.
• Familiarity with CATIA or other CAD software.
• Good reading/writing in English; French-English bilingualism is a plus.
• Able to work with cross-functional teams and stay organized.

Responsibilities

• Support the engineering and manufacturing teams.
• Calculate weight and CG from engineering documents.
• Participate in weight status reports, weight and balance reports, and weight estimates.
• Participate in Change Management processes and incorporate changes into deliverables.

How to thrive in this role?

• You are an aerospace or mechanical engineering student, preferably in 3rd year


• You have good knowledge of Microsoft Excel


• Programming knowledge, specially building macros in excel is an asset


• You are familiar with CATIA or other CAD software


• You can read and write in English and have good communication skills. Being completely bilingual (French and English) is an asset


• Ability to work with cross-functional teams and work under pressure


• Be well organized, self-motivated and a good team player


• You are available for extension or a longer internship if required

Boarding Information:

• Duration: 8months
