Job summary

Bombardier is seeking an intern in Purchasing at the Dorval Plant for a 12-month hybrid placement. The role involves purchasing support, supplier coordination, and ensuring timely delivery of parts to production.

This student-focused internship requires bilingual French/English, strong ethics, and solid MS Office skills. Travel outside Canada may be required for training/work purposes.

Qualifications

• Experience with SAP and BAAN is an asset.
• Strong ethics and customer focus.
• Excellent analytical, planning, problem-solving and interpersonal skills.
• Good knowledge of MS Office.
• Bilingual French and English (spoken and written).

Responsibilities

• Place Purchase Orders, follow up with suppliers, ensure parts arrive on time.
• Administer invoicing and PO pricing issues.
• Maintain supplier relationships to optimize quality, time, and costs.
• Monitor and confirm delivery of parts to production with internal teams.

What are your contributions to the team?

• Place Purchase Orders, follow up with suppliers, and assure parts are received on time and as per schedule
• Administer portfolio activities related to invoices and po pricing issues
• Maintain relationships with the suppliers in order to ensure customer satisfaction, while optimizing the quality, time cycle and costs for the organization
• Monitor and confirm the delivery of parts to production in close collaboration with internal partner functions (Logistics – Line function)
• Maintain Operational and Financial Key Performance Indicators
• Interact with various multi-disciplinary teams (Logistics – Line, Programs, Finance, Production and Quality)
• Apply and follow contractual terms with supplier
• Negotiate and implement change management requests and secure the associated purchase order requirements
