Job summary

BITS Recruiting in Edmonton is seeking an Intermediate Trainer for a fixed-term contract to support a Procurement System Modernization project. You will develop and deliver training to help staff adopt new systems, processes, and tools.

Responsibilities include designing in-person/virtual/blended/self-paced programs, creating e-learning assets, and mentoring junior trainers within a collaborative, cross-functional team environment.

Qualifications

  • Experience designing training in corporate/government/enterprise settings.
  • Strong instructional design and adult learning knowledge.
  • Excellent presentation, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience creating diverse learning materials (e-learning, videos, guides).

Job description

Intermediate Trainer
Contract: October 1, 2026 – September 30, 2027
Location: Edmonton
Hours: Monday–Friday, 8:15 AM–4:30 PM

Wage: $50-$60/hour

Position Overview

We are seeking an Intermediate Trainer to support aProcurement System Modernization project. The successful candidate will develop and deliver training to help employees successfully adopt new systems, processes, and tools.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess training needs and develop role-based training strategies.
  • Design and deliver in-person, virtual, blended, and self-paced training.
  • Create training materials including e-learning, videos, job aids, quick reference guides, and digital support resources.
  • Facilitate training for both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Translate complex systems and processes into clear, easy-to-understand training.
  • Collaborate with business teams, technical teams, subject matter experts, and vendors.
  • Manage multiple training projects, deadlines, and deliverables.
  • Maintain accurate, accessible, and up-to-date training materials.
  • Evaluate training effectiveness and make improvements based on feedback and results.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior trainers.
Qualifications
  • Experience developing and delivering training in a corporate, government, or enterprise environment.
  • Strong instructional design and adult learning knowledge.
  • Excellent presentation, facilitation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience creating a variety of learning materials and resources.
  • Ability to explain complex technical or business concepts in simple terms.
  • Strong organization and project management skills.
  • Comfortable using digital learning, multimedia, collaboration, and AI-enabled tools.
