Tri-global Solutions Group Inc. is seeking one Intermediate Trainer (ERP Systems Trainer / Instructional Designer) to join our Service Delivery team for the Government of Alberta project in Edmonton.

You will lead learning initiatives for the 1GX ERP system and develop instructor-led and digital training materials. The role requires a related degree or diploma with 2–4 years' experience, plus expertise in needs analysis, design, development, and delivery of learning solutions.

Qualifications

• University degree or diploma with related experience as described.
• Experience conducting needs analysis and requirements gathering.
• Design and deliver end-to-end learning solutions (ILT, e-learning).
• Facilitate training for diverse audiences using plain language.

Rate (CAD): Up to $71.00 per hour / Commensurate with related experience and market competitiveness

WORK MODEL: The successful contractor(s) will work onsite at the Terrace Building – 9515 – 107 Street, Edmonton, Alberta. Applicants must be authorized to work in Canada to apply (Canadian Citizen or Permanent Resident). Work must be done from within Canada, due to network and data security policies. Standard Hours of work are 08:15 – 16:30 with a 1 hour lunch break Alberta time, Monday through Friday excluding holidays.

Procurement System Modernization

Scope:
The 1GX Centre of Excellence (CoE) supports the Government of Alberta’s enterprise resource planning (ERP) solution, 1GX, which enables key functions including human capital, supply chain, financial, and treasury management. Reporting to the Manager, 1GX Business Excellence – Communications, OCM, and Training, this role leads government-wide 1GX training and outreach for project and operational initiatives. The role conducts learning needs and audience analysis; defines role-based strategies and delivery approaches; and designs, develops, facilitates, evaluates, and maintains instructor‑led, virtual, e‑learning, multimedia, digital adoption, and performance support solutions. The role works with business and technical stakeholders to validate requirements, resolve competing feedback, manage multiple deliverables and risks, and maintain training quality, accessibility, consistency, currency through established governance. The role uses learner feedback, assessments, performance and adoption insights to improve solutions, provides guidance to junior contributors, and uses approved digital, collaboration, multimedia, and AI‑enabled tools in accordance with Government of Alberta policies and standards.

MANDATORY SKILLS

• – University graduation in a related field (such as Adult Education, Instructional Design, Business Administration or related) plus Two (2) years progressively responsible related experience OR diploma in a related field and a minimum Four (4) years of progressively responsible work experience; or equivalent as described below. Equivalency: Directly related education or experience considered on the basis of: 1 year of education for 2 years of experience. (Yes or No)
• – Experience conducting learning needs analysis, audience and role assessment, work-context analysis, and requirements gathering to support practical, role‑based learning solutions. (2 years+)
• – Experience designing, developing, implementing, and maintaining end-to-end learning solutions, including instructor‑led, virtual, e‑learning, multimedia, job aids, and performance‑support resources. (2 years+)
• – Experience facilitating instructor‑led and virtual training for diverse technical and non‑technical audiences using plain language, demonstrations, activities, and learner‑engagement techniques. (2 years+)

DESIRABLE / NICE TO HAVE SKILLS

• – Experience designing or configuring digital adoption, embedded guidance, walkthroughs, contextual support, or in‑application performance support using WalkMe or a comparable digital adoption platform. (2 years+)
• – Experience developing accessible e‑learning, instructional video, audio, or multimedia content using Articulate 360, Rise, Captivate, Camtasia, Canva, Vyond, Adobe tools, or comparable products. (2 years+)
• – Experience gathering requirements, facilitating reviews, reconciling competing feedback, and working with subject‑matter experts and stakeholders to deliver quality learning solutions within timelines. (2 years+)
• – Experience using AI‑enabled tools to support instructional design, analysis, content development, or communications while validating outputs for accuracy, accessibility, privacy, and organizational standards. (2 years+)
• – Experience using learner feedback, assessments, performance measures, adoption indicators, or other evaluation methods to assess training effectiveness and improve learning solutions. (2 years+)
• – Experience with ERP systems training, such as Finance, HCM or Payroll, Supply Chain Management, SAP, Oracle, Workday, 1GX, or a comparable enterprise system. (2 years+)
