Role Description The Intermediate / Senior Land Analyst is a full-time, in-office, remote or hybrid role based in Airdrie, AB. The role involves analyzing, preparing, and managing land acquisition documentation for Crown and Freehold surface rights across Western Canada. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting title and ownership research, reviewing legal and regulatory documents, and preparing reports, maps, and tracking spreadsheets to support project delivery. The Land Analyst will collaborate closely with land agents, project managers, clients, and regulatory bodies to ensure accurate, timely, and compliant land files. The role also includes maintaining data integrity in internal systems, supporting due diligence for complex projects, and contributing to continuous improvement of land management processes and standards.

Qualifications

• Strong land analysis and research skills, including title searching, ownership verification, and interpretation of Crown and Freehold surface documentation.
• Crown experience would be a huge plus and is highly valued for this position
• Experience with land administration and documentation, such as drafting, reviewing, and managing agreements, easements, rights-of-way, and related records.
• Proficiency in data management and mapping tools, including spreadsheets, databases, and basic GIS or mapping software used in land projects.
• Solid understanding of regulatory frameworks and industry standards relevant to land acquisition and surface rights in Western Canada.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work closely with land agents, clients, legal professionals, and regulatory authorities.
• Strong organizational and time-management abilities, with attention to detail and capacity to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
• Previous experience in land, energy, utilities, or infrastructure sectors at an intermediate or senior level is preferred.
• Post-secondary education in land administration, geography, business, legal studies, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
