What You’ll Do
- Interpret insurance contracts, resolve policy coverages, and establish reserves according to corporate guidelines.
- Handle Accident Benefits claims appropriately based on your authority, knowledge, and expertise.
- Gather investigative reports, conduct independent medical examinations when needed, and collect statements from insureds, witnesses, and specialists.
- Educate customers and providers about auto reform changes.
- Manage all aspects of the claim process within company guidelines.
- Resolve claims issues related to legislation and settlement negotiations.
- Ensure service levels and quality standards are met.
- Educate insureds about the Premiere Healthcare network.
- Participate actively in training and file clinic sessions.
What You’ll Bring
- College Diploma / Associate Degree or equivalent experience.
- At least 2 years of Accident Benefits insurance claims handling experience.
- Large Loss experience is preferred.
- Post-secondary Education (College Diploma or Bachelor Degree) in a related field.
- CIP designation or working towards it is required.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to learn quickly and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Proficiency with various computer programs, databases, and software.
