Job summary

BBA Consultants in Canada seeks an Intermediate Pyrometallurgist to drive pyrometallurgical process design, modeling, and optimization across multiple projects and locations, including Toronto and other Canadian sites.

The role requires 5–10 years in non-ferrous pyrometallurgy, expertise with METSIM/HSC Chemistry, and strong English and French communication to collaborate with offices and clients.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate or graduate degree in extractive metallurgy or chemical engineering from an accredited university
• 5 to 10 years of experience in pyrometallurgical process designs for non-ferrous metals
• Advanced knowledge of METSIM and HSC Chemistry; SysCAD accepted as additional tools
• Advanced English and French skills for collaboration with offices and clients in Canada and Québec

Responsibilities

• Design and optimize pyrometallurgical processes for non-ferrous metals
• Develop simulation models for pre-treatment, smelting, converting and refining
• Collaborate with offices and clients to deliver complete process designs
