Job summary

BBA Consultants is seeking an intermediate Process Engineer in Pyrometallurgy to join our team in Canada. You will contribute to every stage of process designs, including simulation models for pre-treatment, smelting, converting, and refining, helping shape complete processes for clients in the Energy and Natural Resources sector.

The role requires 5–10 years of pyrometallurgical experience, proficiency with METSIM, HSC Chemistry, and SysCAD, and strong English and French communication skills to

Qualifications

• Undergraduate or graduate degree in extractive metallurgy or chemical engineering from an accredited university.
• 5 to 10 years of experience in pyrometallurgical process designs for non-ferrous metals.
• Advanced knowledge of METSIM and HSC Chemistry; SysCAD also accepted.
• Fluent English to collaborate with offices/clients in Canada and internationally; French is also desired.

Summary Of Certifications And Job Requirements

• Undergraduate or graduate degree in extractive metallurgy or chemical engineering from an accredited university
• 5 to 10 years of experience in pyrometallurgical process designs for non-ferrous metals
• Advanced knowledge and experience with the process simulation software packages METSIM and HSC Chemistry; other simulation tools are also accepted, e.g., SysCAD
• Advanced English skills to facilitate collaboration with other BBA offices and/or clients in English-speaking Canadian provinces and internationally; you may need to use English occasionally or daily, depending on current projects
• Advanced French skills to facilitate collaboration with other BBA offices and/or clients in Québec
