What you can expect to do here:

• Plan, schedule, and estimate design engineering efforts from project conception to completion.
• Prepare/review cost estimates, schedules, risk assessments, and project design elements.
• Implement project strategies to identify issues early and achieve quality, schedule, and cost goals.
• Interpret project specifications and scope for all engineering disciplines.
• Review and approve designs for conformity with specifications, scope, and engineering standards.
• Coordinate with disciplines and support deliverable development.
• Prepare and update engineering control documents.
• Monitor design changes, contract extras, and support change orders.
• Serve as the main technical contact with the client.
• Make recommendations on complex technical aspects of projects.
• Provide professional designation on engaged projects.
• Develop technical drawings and deliverables such as P&IDs, Line Lists, and DBMs, ensuring authentication.
• Maintain quality control and assurance on projects.
• Review work of others.
• Coach and mentor junior engineers.

What you’ll bring to WSP:

• Engineering degree.
• P.Eng. or P.Tech. designation.
• 7-10 years in an EPCM environment in the energy sector, with 3-5 years of project engineering experience.
• Excellent communication skills, capable of acting as the main client contact, coordinating meetings, and reporting.
• Ability to produce high-quality work under deadlines and priorities.
• Adaptability and focus in a dynamic environment.
• Skills in design optimization for technical guidance.
• Knowledge of client and corporate procedures.
• Discretion and sensitivity with confidential information.
