About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Intermediate Project Manager to join our Canada Gas Projects team, focusing on Pipeline Integrity projects across Canadian assets. The ideal candidate combines technical expertise, leadership, and project management skills, thriving in a fast-paced environment that supports high-impact projects from inception to completion.

Candidates with a junior background may also be considered based on their exposure to pipeline integrity projects.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Project Development & Feasibility: Conduct feasibility studies and analyses to evaluate technical, financial, and operational viability.
  2. Project Planning & Execution: Develop detailed project plans aligned with internal standards (TOMS, PDS), defining scope, timelines, and resources.
  3. Stakeholder Engagement: Maintain communication with internal and external stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
  4. Team Leadership: Lead cross-functional teams, fostering collaboration and alignment with project goals.
  5. Resource & Budget Management: Coordinate resource allocation and contractor engagement, monitor budgets to stay within financial targets.
  6. Risk & Change Management: Identify risks and implement mitigation strategies; manage scope, schedule, and budget changes through formal processes.
  7. Safety & Quality Leadership: Promote a safety culture and support site construction with emphasis on safety and quality assurance.
  8. Supply Chain Coordination: Collaborate with Supply Chain for contractor engagement, RFPs, scope development, and purchase orders.
  9. Performance Monitoring & Reporting: Track project performance and provide progress reports, highlighting achievements and issues.
  10. Post-Construction Monitoring: Ensure environmental and regulatory commitments post-construction are met.
  11. Continuous Improvement: Contribute to process improvements and implement enhancements in project delivery.
Qualifications & Experience
  1. Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical field (preferred); a related diploma will also be considered.
  2. Certifications: PMP certification is an asset.
  3. Experience: Minimum of 3 years in project management within Pipeline Integrity or similar energy infrastructure projects. Proven track record from initiation to closeout. Familiarity with TOMS, PDS, and short-cycle project delivery is preferred.
  4. Skills: Strong organizational, leadership, decision-making, interpersonal, negotiation, and communication skills. Customer-focused, aligned with regulatory and commercial drivers. Valid driver’s license and clean driving record required.
