Your Opportunity

We are seeking a talented and enthusiastic Intermediate Engineer or Scientist with a keen interest in greenhouse gas (GHG) verification to join our Calgary or Edmonton office. Our GHG Specialists provide services across sectors like chemical, manufacturing, oil and gas, power generation, mining, etc. Responsibilities include GHG verification, project management, data assessment, site visits, and regulatory compliance.

Your Key Responsibilities

• Conduct third-party GHG verifications for various sectors
• Lead and manage GHG validation and verification projects
• Review and assess GHG emissions data and methodologies
• Perform site visits across Western Canada
• Collaborate with clients and prepare technical documents
• Stay current with GHG regulations and standards
• Support and motivate verification team members
• Conduct GHG quantification and prepare emissions inventories

Qualifications

• Understanding of GHG reporting and verification fundamentals
• Training/experience in ISO 14064 standards
• Experience with GHG quantification methodologies
• Ability to conduct site visits and analyze large data sets
• Excellent communication skills
• Results-oriented with strong multitasking skills
• Ability to work independently and in teams
• Flexibility for travel across Canada; valid driver’s license required

Education and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related sciences
• At least 5 years of experience in GHG verification or environmental consulting
• Professional engineering designation is an asset
