Job Overview

As a Pythian Data Scientist, you will leverage your expertise in data analysis, machine learning, and statistical modeling to deliver insights and build predictive models. Your work will involve internal IP development and client projects, applying various techniques including the fine-tuning of pre-trained models like Large Language Models (LLMs).

Responsibilities

1. Collect, clean, and analyze large datasets from various sources to extract meaningful insights.
2. Develop and implement machine learning models, including supervised and unsupervised techniques.
3. Fine-tune and adapt pre-trained models (e.g., LLMs) for specific use cases and client projects.
4. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop data-driven solutions.
5. Build predictive models and algorithms to solve complex business problems.
6. Communicate results effectively through visualizations and reports.
7. Stay updated with the latest in data science, machine learning, and AI, focusing on practical applications of cutting-edge models.
8. Develop and maintain internal IP related to analytics, models, and AI tools.

Minimum Qualifications

1. Bachelor's or Master’s degree in a relevant field; Ph.D. is a plus.
2. 3+ years of experience in data science or related roles.
3. Proficiency in Python or R, with experience in libraries like TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn.
4. Experience with pre-trained models such as LLMs and deep learning frameworks.
5. Strong understanding of statistics, machine learning algorithms, and data visualization.
6. Experience with databases (SQL, NoSQL) and cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure).
7. Excellent communication skills to translate data insights into business value.
8. Client-facing or consulting experience is a plus.
