Job summary

A resource management firm in Canada seeks an Intermediate Forest Professional to join its Forestry Department. Ideal candidates will have 3–5 years of forestry experience, strong communication skills, and a valid BC Driver’s License. Qualifications

  • 3–5 years of relevant forestry experience.
  • Experience supervising or mentoring junior staff.
  • Professional designation preferred but not required.
  • Strong communication, organization, and team skills.
  • Physically fit and comfortable with remote fieldwork.

Responsibilities

  • Cutblock and road layout/design.
  • Forest development assessments and site plans.
  • Fuel management and wildfire risk reduction planning.
  • Road deactivation assessments and prescriptions.
  • Field data collection and reporting.

Skills

Forestry experience
Supervising or mentoring skills
Proficiency with ESRI and Microsoft Office tools
Knowledge of BC forestry regulations
Strong communication skills
Organization skills
Teamwork skills
Valid BC Driver’s License
Fitness for remote fieldwork
Experience with 4×4 trucks, quads, and sled
