Job summary

Strategic is a leading natural resource consultancy offering opportunities to work in outdoor climates and engage in timber development projects. Candidates should have knowledge of forest engineering, harvest planning, road layout, deflection line analysis, and silvicultural systems, with GIS and general computer skills.

Camp shifts are required. Remuneration includes hourly pay, gear allowance, safety bonus, benefits, and camp incentives, with eligibility for RRSP matching.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of forest engineering and timber development, including harvest planning, road layout & design, and deflection line analysis.
• Knowledge of Interior harvest & silvicultural systems.
• Physically fit and prepared to work in outdoor climates year‑round.
• Familiar with navigational tools, maps, GPS surveys and ArcGIS.

Qualifications:

• Knowledge of forest engineering and timber development, including harvest planning, road layout & design, and deflection line analysis.
• Knowledge of Interior harvest & silvicultural systems.
• Physically fit and interested in working in outdoor climates year-round.
• Knowledge and understanding of navigational tools, maps, GPS surveys and applications, and general computer skills (MS Office, and ArcGIS).
• Must be able to work camp shifts.
• Registration with the FPBC as an RPF, RFT, FIT, TFT etc., would be an asset.

Renumeration:

• Hourly compensation ranges from $31.00 - $38.00 depending on experience and designation.
